Terms of Service — Legal Ops Maestro

These Terms govern your use of the Legal Ops Maestro Chrome extension, the associated website at legalopsmaestro.com, and any paid add-ons (“the Services”), provided by [LEGAL_ENTITY] (“we,” “us”).

By installing the extension, creating an account, or purchasing an add-on, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install the extension or create an account.

1. The free core extension

The free Legal Ops Maestro browser extension is provided as-is. You do not need an account to use it. We do not require payment to use the core tracking, badge, CLOC mapping, onboarding, dashboard, or export features.

You may use your own API key (Bring-Your-Own-Key) from Anthropic or OpenAI to enable AI features in the free extension. In that mode, your API calls go directly to your chosen provider, and your relationship with that provider is governed by its own terms. You are responsible for any charges your provider bills you.

2. Accounts (required only for paid add-ons)

To use paid add-ons (§3), you must create an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for keeping access to your email secure. We use passwordless sign-in — we do not store passwords.

One account per person, please. Do not share sign-in links. If you suspect unauthorized access, email [SUPPORT_EMAIL] immediately and we will revoke active sessions.

We may suspend or terminate accounts for material violations of these Terms, repeated fraudulent chargebacks, or conduct that materially damages other users or the Services.

3. Paid add-ons

3.1 Available add-ons

• Resume Pack — one-time purchase granting AI-generated resume bullets, review bullets, and LinkedIn “About” content, subject to per-purchase regeneration limits described in the Extension UI.
• Portfolio Page — one-time purchase granting a public profile page at legalopsmaestro.com/u/{handle} for 12 months, with a renewal fee thereafter.
• Annual Review Pack — one-time purchase granting generation of a year-in-review document based on your tracked data, subject to per-purchase regeneration limits.
• Orchestra Career Pack — one-time purchase bundling Resume Pack, Portfolio Page, and Annual Review Pack at a single price ($79, saving $18 versus purchasing the three components individually). Each included entitlement carries its own per-purchase regeneration limits, identical to the standalone SKUs. The Portfolio Page component is valid for 12 months from purchase, matching the standalone Portfolio Page term.

Prices and features are shown in the Extension at the time of purchase. We may change prices for future purchases at any time; existing purchases are honored at the price paid.

3.2 Payments

Payments are processed by Creem.IO, acting as the merchant of record. Creem is responsible for collecting applicable sales tax and VAT, issuing receipts, and handling chargebacks. You agree that Creem may share necessary transaction data with us (purchase ID, product, amount, your email) so we can entitle your account.

3.3 Refunds

We offer refunds within 7 days of purchase for any reason, provided you have not already consumed the AI regeneration budget for the SKU. To request a refund, email [SUPPORT_EMAIL] or use the Creem billing portal linked from your Account page. Refunds are processed by Creem, typically reaching your card within 5–10 business days.

After 7 days, refunds are granted at our discretion for material defects (e.g., feature did not work as described). We do not offer refunds for buyer’s remorse beyond the 7-day window.

Refunded purchases lose entitlement immediately. If you refund a Portfolio Page, its public URL becomes inaccessible; the underlying data is retained for 12 months in case you re-purchase.

If you purchased the Orchestra Career Pack bundle and request a refund within the 7-day window, all three included entitlements (Resume Pack, Portfolio Page, Annual Review Pack) are revoked simultaneously when the refund is processed.

3.4 Portfolio Page specifics

• You choose the handle (e.g., alex-m). Handles are lowercase letters, digits, and hyphens, 3–32 characters, allocated first-paid-first-served.
• You may publish or unpublish at any time.
• You may only publish content you created or have the right to share. Do not publish confidential information about clients, employers, or third parties.
• We may remove a Portfolio Page without notice if it contains content that is illegal, defamatory, violates intellectual property rights, violates §5 (Acceptable use), or is reported and substantiated.
• Portfolio Pages expire 365 days after purchase. Renewal is a separate checkout. Lapsed pages return a 404; data is retained for up to 12 months for restoration.

3.5 Regeneration budgets

Each paid add-on includes a specific number of AI regenerations, enforced server-side. Budgets are listed in the Extension at purchase time. Exceeding the budget does not refund the purchase or grant additional regenerations. Purchase a second instance if you need more.

4. AI-generated content — disclaimer

All AI output is generated by third-party language models accessed through Cloudflare AI Gateway under Unified Billing with Zero Data Retention. Paid features route to Anthropic or OpenAI on standard API tiers (which do not train on API traffic); free and degraded-fallback features run on Cloudflare Workers AI. AI output is provided as a starting point for your work, not a finished product. You are solely responsible for:

• Reviewing AI-generated content before using it externally (resumes, LinkedIn, annual reviews).
• Verifying factual claims.
• Ensuring the content accurately represents your experience.
• Compliance with any employer, bar association, or professional-responsibility rules that apply to you.

AI output may be inaccurate, biased, or outdated. We do not guarantee the suitability of AI output for any particular purpose. You assume all risk of relying on it.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Services to violate any law or regulation, or to infringe another person’s rights.
• Publish on your Portfolio Page any content that is illegal, harassing, defamatory, discriminatory, pornographic, threatening, or violates intellectual property rights.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or bypass rate limits, entitlement checks, or payment flows.
• Scrape, crawl, or otherwise programmatically access the Extension, backend, or Portfolio Pages at abusive rates.
• Use stolen or fraudulent payment instruments.
• Abuse the 7-day refund window (repeated buy-refund cycles may result in account termination).
• Attempt to circumvent the safety guardrails on AI input.
• Submit inputs designed to generate illegal or harmful content, including but not limited to violence planning, illegal activity facilitation, sexually exploitative content, or content targeting minors.

Violations may result in suspension, termination, refund reversal, or referral to law enforcement.

6. Intellectual property

6.1 Your content

You retain ownership of everything you create or input: your work entries, notes, Portfolio Page content, resume bullets (including AI-generated ones you approve and export). For content you publish on a Portfolio Page, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host and display it on legalopsmaestro.com solely for the purpose of operating the Portfolio Page service.

6.2 Our materials

The Extension software, website design, CLOC category descriptions, archetype catalog, badge artwork, and documentation are owned by [LEGAL_ENTITY] and licensed to you for personal use only. You may not redistribute, resell, or use our materials to train competing products.

The CLOC 12 framework is a credit to CLOC.org — it is an industry framework, not our invention. We reference it as the standard taxonomy for legal operations work.

6.3 AI output

AI-generated content is not owned by us. You own the outputs generated for your account, subject to the model providers’ own terms. You are responsible for confirming that your use of AI output does not infringe third-party rights.

7. Service availability

We operate on Cloudflare infrastructure. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Scheduled maintenance, provider outages, or model-provider outages (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google) may cause temporary disruption. We will make reasonable efforts to restore service promptly.

If a paid AI feature is unavailable for more than 48 consecutive hours, you may request a pro-rata refund via [SUPPORT_EMAIL].

8. Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that AI output will be accurate, that Portfolio Pages will drive any particular outcome, that tracking data is sufficient for any particular career or compliance purpose, or that the Services will meet your specific needs.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, [LEGAL_ENTITY] IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS OR REVENUE, ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (B) $50 USD.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify [LEGAL_ENTITY] from claims arising out of (a) your content published on a Portfolio Page, (b) your misuse of AI output (e.g., publishing it as fact without verification), (c) your violation of §5 (Acceptable use), or (d) your breach of these Terms.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when features change, providers change, or law requires. For material changes, signed-in users will receive email notice at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Services after the effective date of the new Terms constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the [JURISDICTION], without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in [JURISDICTION], and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time via the Options page or by emailing [SUPPORT_EMAIL]. We may suspend or terminate your account for material breach of these Terms. On termination, entitlements to future AI regenerations end; tracked data stored locally in your browser is unaffected; Portfolio Pages are unpublished.

14. Miscellaneous

• If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect.
• We may assign these Terms to a successor entity without notice.
• No waiver of a provision is a waiver of any other provision.
• These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services.
